We are looking to appoint an, enthusiastic and innovative teaching assistant to work within our supportive teaching assistant team. There will also be an expectation to work within all primary year groups across the school including Early Years. Small group interventions or individual support may also be part of the role. You will demonstrate high levels of motivation and have the ability to engage, lead and inspire teams to raise standards along with delivering effective outcomes for all children.

37 hours per week full time (hours to be negotiated)
Grade 3D NJC Point 7 – 11 (£19,554 - £21,166 per annum)

We are looking to recruit a site agent to join our existing site team across the Trust and to assist the Facilities and Building Services Manager in the smooth running of Great Ouse Primary Academy, Oakley Primary Academy & Lincroft Academy. Knowledge and experience of security, site maintenance and equipment together with porterage, cleaning and general maintenance is required to ensure that the schools provide a clean, safe and secure environment for its staff, students and visitors. A trade skill, knowledge of cleaning operations and a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements and procedures would be an advantage.

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate they are motivated and committed to work hard, enjoy working as part of a team and be flexible in their approach to both the job role and our schools as well as supporting the wellbeing of our students.

Great Ouse Primary Academy, Bedford, opened as a brand new academy in September 2017 and has now grown to include pupils up to Year 5 (w.e.f. Sept 20). As pupils continue to progress through to Year 6, the academy will eventually grow to provide education for 420 pupils and be two-form entry.

Oakley Primary Academy is a high performing 1.5 form entry primary academy based in Oakley village and sits adjacent to Lincroft Academy, our secondary academy for students in Year 7 – Y11 with an annual intake of 210 new students.

All three schools are members of Sharnbrook Academy Federation (SAF). This is a multi-academy trust, made up of five excellent member academies, which has a commitment to excellence in education and puts student progress at the heart of all it does. SAF has an outstanding reputation, providing a strong support network and a variety of opportunities for staff in each of its academies.

A full clean driving licence is essential to enable attendance at the three academies and assist in maintaining the academies fleet of minibuses, and as part of the Multi Academy Trust, you will be required to provide support to other academies within the Federation. Flexibility to cover sickness and annual leave across the SAF site team may be required.

Visits to the school are restricted due to the current situation, but informal discussions are available with the Facilities & Building Services Manager by appointment.
