Midday Supervisor - Friday 8th February 2019

Midday Supervisor (to start as soon as possible)

1C Points 6 - 9 (£7.78-£7.97per hour)

6 Hours 40 Minutes per week (term time only, 12.00pm - 1.20pm, Monday-Friday)

The successful candidate will like working with children, and will be happy to take an active role in playtime activities. Applicants should be able to work as part of a team. Experience of working with children would be an advantage. Duties include supervision of children going to and from the dining hall, eating lunch, supervision in the playground to encourage interactive play and also ensuring the welfare and safety of the pupils during lunchtime.

Great Ouse Primary Academy, Bedford opened as a brand new school in September 2017 and is a proud member of Sharnbrook Academy Federation (SAF). Initially, the school opened with a Pre-School, YR, Y1 and Y2 classes. The school will eventually grow to 420 pupils and be two-form entry. In September 2018, two new YR classes joined the school and we are now up to Y3.

We are looking to recruit professionals in a number of roles who share and embrace the school’s core vision of having high expectations for all children; teaching an exciting and challenging curriculum; making every moment count and enabling children to flourish within and beyond the school walls.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Level 4A Points 21-24 (£17963 - £19590 pa)

37 Hours per week – Term time only + 5 CPD Days

Required for September 2019

We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative HLTA to work alongside our supportive staff team. You will demonstrate high levels of motivation and have the ability to engage, lead and inspire teams to raise standards along with delivering effective outcomes for all children. The role will include being able to teach PE lessons and whole classes across the school alongside organising and running a range of sport’s enrichment clubs during lunchtimes and after school.
