Anti-Bullying

We believe that all bullying is unacceptable. Bullying is repeated or persistent and can be in the following forms:

Physical Bullying

  • Hitting/kicking/slapping

  • Taking belongings

  • Damaging personal property

  • Hiding property

  • Invading an individual’s personal space

Verbal Bullying

  • Name calling, due to an individual’s characteristics/appearance or because of their ethnic origin, disability, sexuality, religion, nationality, colour or accent.

  • The use of derogatory gender-related language

  • The use of derogatory comments about an individual’s family

Verbal bullying can be direct or indirect e.g. note passing, text messaging, emails etc.

Indirect Bullying

  • Spreading jokes/rumours

  • Exclusion from social groups

  • Abuse of power

  • Discrimination due to appearance, ethnic origin, disability, sexuality, religion, nationality, colour or accent

  • Cyberbullying through social network sites

  • Colluding with bullying or being a bystander whilst bullying is taking place

  • Remove people from situations that are upsetting them
  • Be responsible for your own actions

Welcome and thank you for your interest in our school. Great Ouse Primary Academy is a school that thinks and dreams big for its pupils. Great Ouse Primary Academy opened as a brand-new primary academy in September 2017 and is a proud member of the Meridian Trust. The school is a named feeder school for Lincroft Academy and Sharnbrook Academy. The school is a bright, modern and inspiring learning environment with up-to-date technology and vibrant teaching and learning spaces for our pupils and staff.

We believe that the school absolutely belongs to our community of children, staff, parents and carers. We urge you to actively support and be involved in the school. It is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to be part of something special.
